Who we're following.

Our favorite finds from Instagram - click for some daily inspiration.

Most of the time, when one thinks of a large scale spec builder (what we used to refer to as "tract" or "production" builders), one imagines flat fields of generic homes, one after the other with very little in the way of distinguishing features, and certainly no soul.  But what if we broke the mold?  What if we built whole communities full of individualized homes full of soul and romanticism and quirkiness?  What would that look like, and more importantly, live and feel like?  Well, you don't have to imagine any longer.  Just visit any one of the communities built by Atlanta-based developer Hedgewood Homes, and you can see for yourself.  And the results are just as special as I always assumed they would be.  Follow them on IG to follow along on the journey!

What we're eyeing.

Our favorite finds of the moment, sure to make your house or your life, just a little better, a little prettier, or perhaps just a bit more awesome.

It may come as no surprise that we here at Domaine HQ like a little wine--it is, after all, something we used to do.  And so, we like having wine handy when dinner time rolls around, or when the kids' "witching hour" begins.  But wine can be bulky and tough to fit in the fridge or the pantry, and sometimes just needs its own place to live in our homes; often times that storage is an afterthought, crammed into a corner, or worse, above the appliances in a kitchen where it gets nice and hot (not good for keeping that vino fresh!).  I rarely see a home wine storage solution that provides both practical, efficient storage and is stylish enough to show off to friends and family, but then I came across the Navarro Wine System from Williams-Sonoma Home.  This beautiful collection is built from kiln-dried Ash and comes in 3 configurations so you can customize or add-on as needed.  Perfect!

What We're Doing.

While Nashville certainly doesn't lack for entertaining options, we've sorted through the mess to give you the best way(s) to spend your precious time.

So while he may be Atlanta's clothing industry darling, and not Nashville's, we can't help but root for Sid Mashburn and his crew at his eponymous store and clothing label.  While he's no secret to those interested in the world of menswear, Sid still flies under the mainstream radar but runs one of the best shops in the whole country out of the west side of Atlanta.  What's not to love? You can play ping pong and drink beer while they spin your favorite vinyl and piece together an ensemble that showcases their trademark Mississipi-meets-Milan look.  If you're a long-time devotee, like me, then this weekend you'll be headed down to the ATL for a preview of the latest release of fabrics from Sid's Made-to-Measurement line, and you might pick up a new shirt or jacket while you're at it.  More info here →
